Enhanced Benefits Group Home Ownership Program, in partnership with Cascade Centers, Inc., invites you to an informational workshop about homeownership and how their program can save you substantial money on real estate transactions. Whether you’re a first-time home buyer, investment buyer, or interested in refinancing your current home, this workshop will show you how you can save time and money throughout the entire process. Enhanced Benefits Group representatives will lead a discussion, answer the following questions and more.

Child Care and School Choices
Finding good child care and choosing the right school setting for your child can be challenging. Work and Family Services provides personal consultation and information about campus and community programs and services, including family child-care homes, child-care centers, in-home care options, before- and after-school programs, private and public schools (4-J School District, Bethel School District, Springfield School District), kindergartens, public school information, summer and vacation programs, high school alternatives, and lists of UO student caregivers.
Elder Care
Caring for elderly family members is an increasingly common concern. Work and Family Services collaborates with several community agencies to provide the information and resources you need, whether the family member lives with you, in the area, or in another state. Alzheimers Association
Employee Assistance Program
The University of Oregon contracts with Cascade Centers, Inc. to provide a comprehensive employee assistance program for eligible employees, their dependents and household members. The services are at no cost to eligible employees and include short-term professional counseling and assessment, child-care and elder-care resource and referral, legal and financial consultations, a listening library, 24-hour crisis counseling and an interactive website. Cascade Centers is located off campus and offers complete confidentiality. More information about the program is available from Human Resources, 346-3159. - The Oregon College Savings Plan, available through the State Treasury, makes saving for college easier and more flexible for families. It offers state and federal tax benefits and contribution options that are not available through other college savings plans. There are four investment options for Oregonians to choose from ranging from conservation to aggressive depending on the risk tolerance of the individual. Payments can be made as a direct payment to the plan's administrator or through payroll deduction. - ASUO Student Child Care Subsidy. Funded by student incidental fees, financial assistance for childcare costs is provided for a limited number of eligible students. The subsidy may be used for UO-affiliated child care and also licensed community child care. Information and applications are available from the ASUO Executive Office, EMU Suite 4; (541) 346-0632.
- Employee Dependent Child Care Account. This employee benefit offers UO employee parents an opportunity to pay for dependent care with pretax income. Information is available from benefits administration: (541) 346-2956.
- Earned Income Tax Credit. Employees who have at least one child living with them may be eligible for this tax credit, which is based on a percentage of earned income. Information is available from payroll; (541) 346-1106.

Promoting a Healthy U
Promoting a Healthy U, a program of Human Resources, offers resources and opportunities to support the health and well-being of faculty and staff at the University of Oregon. The program is coordinated by the Work and Family Services administrator in collaboration with a campus-wide committee.
Resource Library
Work and Family Services maintains a growing Resource Library in Human Resources, 463 Oregon Hall. To borrow a selection, call or come by between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday.
