RESPONSIBILITIES:  The University of Oregon Department of Dance periodically hires adjunct instructors and solicits applications for qualified teachers of modern, ballet, jazz, hip hop, African, folk, ballroom, Swing, Latin, tango, tap, improvisation and dance theory courses.  Positions may also be available for musical accompaniment.  All applications are of limited duration.

QUALIFICATIONS:  For instructor positions, Master’s degree preferably in Dance or Bachelor’s degree plus university-level dance teaching experience.  For musical accompaniment positions, applicant must have experience accompanying dance classes.  Successful candidates must have the ability to work effectively with students, staff and colleagues from diverse backgrounds.

RANK AND SALARY:  Commensurate with qualifications and experience.  Positions will be filled for one term (ten weeks) or multiple-term not to exceed one-year appointments.  There is the possibility of renewal for up to three years depending on need, funding and performance.  These appointments are contingent on funding.
