The Institute of Ecology and Evolution at the University of Oregon seeks to establish a pool of applicants for potential research positions that are funding contingent, part-time or temporary assignments with an appointment of up to one year, with the possibility of renewal for up to three years depending on need, funding and performance. Research Assistant positions conducting research under the direction of a principle investigator require a Bachelor’s degree. Research Associate positions conducting research with only general guidance require a PhD. Some positions may require extensive experience with molecular techniques and/or extensive previous experience in a similar research setting. Applications will be accepted on a continuous basis and the pool will remain active through 3/31/14. Applicants will be screened as needs arise. Successful candidates will have professional experience and a commitment to working effectively with students, faculty and staff from diverse backgrounds. Hires from this pool may require a background check.
