The Center on Teaching and Learning (CTL) is a community of scholars whose mission is to conduct, translate, and disseminate research which is focused on solutions to practical problems in schools. CTL is creating an open applicant pool for full time and part time Research Assistants and Research Associates for the 2013-2014 academic year. Positions are for one year or less, with the possibility of renewal up to three years based on available funding, need, and performance. Applications are accepted until 3/31/2014 and considered as needs arise.
Job Roles: Research; program development; statistical analyses related to all phases of preparation of scientific papers, presentations, and grant applications; staff professional development at project level; and off-site research activities with a variety of populations including persons with identified developmental disabilities. Research Associates will conduct independent research and participate on research teams. Research Assistants will conduct research under the direction of Research Associates and participate on research teams.
Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Education or a related area is required for Research Assistant positions. A Doctorate in Education, Special Education, Educational Psychology, Educational Administration or related areas is required for Research Associate positions. Some positions may include overnight travel and/or extensive previous experience in a similar job role. An ability to communicate and work effectively with individuals from varied backgrounds and an interest in creating and maintaining a diverse learning and working environment is required.
