West Coast Regional Pool
UO Department of History
The University of Oregon Department of History is developing a pool of historians available on short notice and qualified to teach courses in History at the undergraduate or graduate level. Positions may be part-time, temporary, limited duration appointments of up to one year, but with the possibility of renewal for up to three years depending on need, funding and performance. Applications will be accepted on a continuous basis and the pool will remain active for one year. Hires from this pool may require background checks. Screening of the applications will take place as positions become available and continue until positions are filled.
It is expected that applicants will already have a Ph.D. in History or equivalent degree in area of expertise, although ABDs will be considered. Teaching experience in the appropriate historical field is required. Appointments generally carry a salary of $4,000 to $6,000 per course, per term, depending upon experience and enrollment circumstances.
