The University of Oregon Department of Classics seeks to create a pool of qualified applicants for possible temporary appointments teaching first year Latin or Greek language, classics in translation, Mediterranean archaeology and other topics as the need arises. Positions are funding contingent, part-time or temporary assignments with an appointment of up to one year, but with the possibility of renewal for up to three years depending on need, funding and performance.
Salary is dependent on education and experience. An M.A. degree is required; a Ph.D. (in any field of Classics) is preferred and appropriate experience required.
