The Department of East Asian Languages & Literatures at the University of Oregon is seeking qualified applicants for its open instruction pool. Positions may be part-time, temporary, limited duration appointments not to exceed one year, and are renewable for up to a total of three years depending on need, funding and performance. The Department offers courses in Korean, Chinese and Japanese Language and Korean, Chinese and Japanese Literature. Applications will be accepted on a continuous basis and pool will remain active one year. Screening of applicants will take place as positions become available and continue until positions are filled.
Applicants must have a M.A. for teaching undergraduate courses, a Ph.D. for teaching graduate courses and some upper division content courses, and experience appropriate to our needs. The successful candidate will have the ability to work effectively with faculty, staff and students from a variety of diverse backgrounds. Appointments are contingent upon demand and funding. Salary is dependent on education and experience.
