The Office of Professional Outreach and Development for Students in the School of Architecture and Allied Arts (A&AA) at the University of Oregon invites applications for possible temporary, part-time, limited-duration teaching positions in the program. The PODS Office provides career development support to all students in A&AA. Areas of expertise include career-search topics serving the disciplines in the School. (see http://aaa.uoregon.edu/ for a complete listing of disciplines). These include: professional development, career explorations, job and internship search, general career advising, portfolio development both digital and analogue, entrepreneurship, resume writing, cover letter writing, interview preparation, becoming a professional artist, and other career-related topics relevant to A&AA majors. Applicants are encouraged to submit proposals for new courses, in addition to applying to teach current course offerings.
Teaching experience and career development experience preferred, with an interest in candidates with online teaching experience. Minimum of a master’s degree in relevant field is required. In exceptional circumstances, significant professional experience in a relevant field may substitute for the degree. Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience. Positions may be one term (ten weeks) or multiple-terms as needed, not to exceed one year with possible renewal up to three years.
