The Economics Department at the University of Oregon invites applications for a full time 9-month teaching position for academic year 2012-13. This is a non-tenure track, fixed-term, renewable appointment. The initial contract will be for one year, beginning September 16, 2012 and ending June 15, 2013. With a successful review, the contract may be renewed. Reappointment decisions are based on budgetary constraints, departmental need, and quality of teaching.
The teaching load will be the equivalent of three courses per quarter. We seek candidates with evidence of outstanding teaching. Preference for candidates with experience teaching large classes, as well as online courses. All fields will be considered and the candidate will have the opportunity to teach one or more field courses in their specialty. Minimum qualifications are ABD and teaching experience at the undergraduate level.
