The University of Oregon School of Journalism and Communication seeks applicants for its adjunct instructor pool. We anticipate needs in multimedia, reporting, featuring writing and editing, advertising, broadcast, online journalism, public relations, photojournalism, design, and other subjects. Appointments can range from one course to full time for one year, with possible renewal for up to three years based on performance, needs and budget. Applications will be accepted on a continuous basis and the pool will remain active through October 2012.
Successful candidates will have substantial professional experience in the subject to be taught and either demonstrated or strong potential for teaching excellence. They also will have a firm commitment to working effectively with students, faculty and staff from diverse backgrounds. Master's degree is required. In exceptional circumstances, significant professional experience may substitute for a degree.
