The American English Institute (AEI) at the University of Oregon (UO) is looking for qualified candidates for possible adjunct instructor positions in the Distance Education or “E-Learning” Program for the 2011-2012 academic year. Positions are part or full-time, limited duration appointments subject to possible renewal for up to three years, depending on need, funding and performance. Applications will be accepted on a continuous basis, and interviews will be conducted as positions become available.

Applicants must possess a minimum of the following qualifications:
- Masters degree or higher.
- Experience teaching and/or developing electronic materials related to Applied Linguistics/TESOL, Computer Science, Educational Technology or a related field.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and adapt electronic materials to meet students' needs.
- Proficiency using technology in instructional activities.
- Ability to work collaboratively as a member of an instructional team and faculty committee(s).
- Proficiency in English. Hiring may be contingent upon English proficiency assessment.
- Candidates with experience serving the needs of diverse populations are strongly desired.
