The University of Oregon’s Community Service Center is establishing a pool of qualified candidates to fill periodic vacancies for research/project management positions. All positions would be part-time, temporary, non-tenured academic positions with limited durations of no more than one year. There is the possibility of renewal for up to three years based on need, funding and performance. Applicants to this pool for a Research Assistant must have a Master’s in Planning, Public Administration, Environmental Studies, or a related field and demonstrated experience with experiential service learning and applied research. In exceptional circumstances, a Bachelor’s degree and significant professional experience in a relevant field may substitute. Research assistants conduct research under the direction of a principle investigator. Candidates who promote and enhance diversity are strongly desired.
