Global Education Leadership Institute invites applications for adjunct faculty to provide instruction and program coordination for Global Education Leadership Institute conferences and workshops. Adjunct appointments are expected to begin in September and continue for varying lengths of time, depending on each individual workshop or conference. Appointments are limited duration, with the possibility of renewal for up to 3 years based on program needs, funding and job performance.
Instructor duties include designing content and coordinating speakers, presenters and mentors for Leadership Institute workshops and conferences. Instructors should be knowledgeable about educational techniques and pedagogy used in institutes of higher education in the United States. Leadership Institute topics may include, but are not limited to, second language acquisition, higher education pedagogy, microteaching techniques, and presentation skills. Instructors should be able to assist students with work samples and other program requirements, identify student support and instructional needs, communicate and assist participants to be successful at achieving the institute’s outcomes.
Master’s degree required, PhD preferred. Experience teaching at the university level is preferred.
Successful candidates will have experience working in higher education in the United States, as well as a demonstrated ability to work with people of diverse backgrounds and language skills, excellent communication skills, evidence of knowledge regarding multicultural education and the social and cultural foundations of education.
