Educational and Community Supports, a research unit in the College of Education at the University of Oregon, is creating an open applicant pool for Research Assistants/Research Associates. Positions are for one year or less, with the possibility of renewal for up to three years based on available funding, need, and performance.
Job Roles: Research, statistical analysis related to all phases of preparation of scientific papers, presentations, grant applications, leadership ability, and research activities with a variety of populations including persons with identified developmental disabilities and off-site research activities collaborating with school administrators. Research Associates will conduct independent research and participate on research teams. Research Assistants will conduct research under the direction of Research Associates and participate on research teams.
Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related area is required for Research Assistant positions. A Doctorate in Education, Special Education, or School Psychology is required for Research Associate positions.
Some positions may require extensive experience in a similar job role.
An ability to communicate and work effectively with faculty, staff and students from a variety of diverse backgrounds and an interest in creating and maintaining a diverse learning and working environment is required.
FTE: Varies from .20 FTE to 1.00 FTE
Salary Range: For Research Assistants- $50,000 to $65,000 based on 1.00 FTE for 12 months. For Research Associates - $60,000 to $70,000 based on 1.00 FTE for 12 months.
Start Date: August 22, 2011
