TO QUALIFY YOU MUST HAVE:
... basic foundation of knowledge and skills of technology and information systems generally obtained through an bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, educational technology, communications, or related fields, or similar certified course work in applicable fields of study or through related work experience.
* Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to communicate effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
* Experience supporting the use of enterprise resource planning systems such as Ellucian Banner.
* Banner FIS and HRIS documentation, forms, rules and validation data.
* Administering Banner security.
* IBM Cognos Business Insight Advanced report writing.
* Oracle SQL Plus database queries.
* AppWorx job scheduling.
* Technical documentation and records management.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position works to ensure the efficient and reliable operation of the Banner Finance (FIS), Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets, Student Loans, and Human Resources systems (HRIS). Duties include:
... coordinating Business Office training program, including class schedule, student placement, and records management.
... documenting Banner FIS, HRIS, AR modifications, rules and validation data; evaluating and recommending changes to Banner rules and validation data.
... administering Banner FIS, HRIS, and AR security, including maintaining security classes and user privileges; conducting annual review of departmental user privileges; maintianing AppWorx security roles.
... providing university staff with enterprise data that is not readily available in Banner or IDR; performing basic ad-hoc queries of Banner production database tables using SQL and writing reports using IBM Cognos Business Insight Advanced.
... evaluating and distributing Banner documentation, (release guides, user guides and training manuals); coordinating testing of new Banner releases, features and functions; serving as liaison with Information Services staff, vendors, and other university colleagues to support Banner implementations.
